Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Lexington Police Department is asking for your help to identify a “Porch Pirate” who struck a neighborhood in the town recently. This occurred on August 4, 2020, at approximately 3:00 p.m. The suspect pictured was involved in two separate incidents of larceny of packages in the Barr Lake neighborhood.

The nickname “Porch Pirate” stems from this particular crime. In these cases, a crook rides through looking for packages of all types of goods that people have ordered on-line. The delivery company drops these items on the porch of the intended recipient’s home and the “Porch Pirate” just sails around the neighborhood collecting someone else’s treasure!

In this case, police say that the individual is a white male, approximately 5'10 with brown hair that’s trimmed short. He also has a slim build. He was driving a blue Dodge Dakota pickup truck during the commission of these crimes.

If anyone has information about the identity of this individual, please contact Detective Corporal Hobbs at 803-358-1517 or at whobbs@lexsc.com.
