West Columbia Police Department arrest one seeking one in murder case
West Columbia, S.C. – On August 25, 2020, the West Columbia Police Department made an arrest in an attempted murder that occurred on August 15, 2020. However, they are still asking for the community’s assistance in locating the second suspect.
In the evening hours of August 15, 2020, a shooting occurred on the 1100 block of Leaphart Street in West Columbia, South Carolina. On August 25, 2020, investigators arrested Juston Dewayne Lyles Erving for Attempted Murder, Criminal Conspiracy, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Violent Crime. Mr. Erving is being held at the Lexington County
Detention Center awaiting bond. Investigators are still searching for 29-year-old Antonio Deon Dortch who is wanted in connection to this shooting. Mr. Dortch is described as a black male who is approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, 195 pounds, with a cross tattooed on his forehead.
