Batesburg-Leesville police officers need the public's help to identify Walmart shoplifting suspe

Batesburg-Leesville, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Batesburg-Leesville Police Department is turning to the public for help to try and locate a woman who may have been involved in a shoplifting that occurred at the Walmart in town. They hope that someone might recognize her from some pictures and phone in a tip that could help them solve a crime.

The heavyset black woman was caught on surveillance video in the store. Please take a close look and see if you recognize her. In these pictures, she appears to be at the upper end of her middle-aged years. She might also be a senior citizen.

On the day the crime was committed, her clothing was not distinctive. She was wearing a pair of short pants with a t-shirt that had a design of some sort on it. She might even have been wearing a wig. Please remember that these are screenshots from a video and may be deceiving. Certainly, her appearance may be very different today from what she looked like the day she was in the store.

If you have any information please call the Batesburg-Leesville Police Department at 803-532-4408.
