The Courage Center needs your help to combat overdoses during National Recovery Month 2020

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Courage Center, a recovery resource hub especially geared toward adolescents and young adults ages 14 – 26 that are in recovery and their families, is asking for the community’s help throughout September. This month has been designated nationwide as National Recovery Month. TCC administrators think the most effective assistance you can offer beside your prayers is financial support.

According to the staff of The Courage Center, Lexington County saw an increase of 267% suspected overdose deaths in July of 2020 when compared to the same period last year. TCC teaches that 100% of overdose deaths are preventable. With your help, TCC can provide no-cost peer recovery support to help young people misusing drugs and alcohol and their parents learn to recover together. This could bring this startling statistic down and really save lives!

Now, giving is easier than ever. TCC has a dedicated link to a donation page where you can give online using a credit or debit card. That DONATE TODAY feature can be accessed from here in this article or from their webpage at couragecenter.org. Please do what you can to help save a young person and help their families as they walk the road to recovery together. Just use the above offered DONATE TODAY button or enter the website and use the drop-down menu to navigate to the DONATE tab.
