Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) - Free COVID-19 testing is available to anyone who wishes to be tested both Wednesday and Thursday of this week. The testing will be done at Lexington County's Health Department at the Red Bank Annex. This is located at the intersection of South Lake Drive and Two Notch Road in the Red Bank (Lexington) community. The Lexington County Health Department shares a building with Lexington County's DSS offices.
This testing is made possible by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC). DHEC officials say that if you have symptoms of the COVID-19 or have come in close contact with someone who has tested positive, it is recommended that you get tested yourself. You do not have to be displaying the symptoms of COVID-19 in order to be tested.
Anyone who comes to the Lexington County Health Department to be tested should wear a face covering and observe universal precautions. Remember to maintain social distancing, wash your hands regularly or use hand sanitizer, and cough or sneeze into your elbow.
These free tests are available both Wednesday, September the 9th and Thursday, September the 10th, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. and will continue until 1:00 p.m. You do not have to pre-register to be tested. For more information about the COVID-19 you may visit www.scdhec.gov/covid19 on the internet.
