Gaston, SC (Paul Kirby) - South Carolina state troopers are turning to the public to help locate a vehicle after a pedestrian was seriously injured when they were struck by a pickup truck recently on Fish Hatchery Road near Casa Dell Road north of Gaston. Troopers say this collision happened on Friday, September 4th, 2020 at approximately 10:15 in the morning.

Troopers say that the vehicle they're looking for is a white 2003 through 2009 model Dodge 3500 dually pickup truck. They say the truck is missing the passenger side tow mirror and one of its hubcaps. The truck may have also been equipped with a “headache rack” style metal grate mounted to its bed that is protecting its back window.

After striking the pedestrian, the suspect in the vehicle left the scene traveling northeast on Fish Hatchery Road toward the Town of Pine Ridge and the I-77 on ramp. The driver did not stop or render any aid to the injured pedestrian.

Troopers are circulating a photograph of a similar style truck. They hope that someone will recognize this type of truck and will know who owns or drives one that’s similar.

If you have any information about this collision or know where they can locate this truck and its driver, please dial *HP on your mobile phone.
