Lexington, SC - Mission Lexington’s staff said via a press release Thursday that they and their supporters were excited to highlight the Church, Board, and Volunteer of the Month for September of 2020. Each month, Mission Lexington recognizes a church, board member, and volunteer that has had a tremendous positive impact on the people that the organization serves. They call those that are selected their Impact Key Players.
September’s Impact Key Players are:
Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church is the Church of the Month: Mount Horeb UMC has been named Mission Lexington’s Church of the Month. Their support for Mission Lexington includes a variety of things: cleaning the Mission Lexington grounds monthly, sending lunch to the staff, partnering on projects and programs to help others in the community as well as supporting Mission Lexington financially.
Jacob Cook is the Board Member of the Month: Jacob is Vice President of Business Development for Sun Solutions in West Columbia, SC. He has served since 2019 and is an asset to the organization.
JoDee Douda is the Volunteer of the Month: She has been a loyal volunteer with Mission Lexington since 1985 and has assisted with a variety of special events and fundraisers over the past 35 years.
“We are blessed to have such amazing supporters of Mission Lexington,” said Robin W. Bowers, Executive Director of Mission Lexington. “The time and talent that is poured into our organization by the churches and individuals impacts our organization in so many unique ways.”
Mission Lexington is a hub of care for Lexington County. They assist families and individuals with life essentials, resources, and guidance. They meet over 30,000 needs in Lexington County each year, ranging from helping an elderly couple with food to funeral expenses for a child.
