West Columbia, SC 03/29/2021 - Airport High School is known for its giving spirit, and Student Council and Beta Club members were out over the weekend continuing this tradition. On Saturday morning, March 27, Airport students participated in the 4th Annual Hudson’s Heroes Tackle Hunger event.

Participating area schools pack food boxes, which are then delivered to Harvest Hope Food Bank to distribute to Midlands families in need. Airport High School participants packed 630 boxes toward the total of 2,000-plus boxes packed at the event. It’s the fourth year that Airport has participated.

This year’s participants included Emily Kyzer, Alondra DelValle, Deloni Haygood, Isha Bojang, Dallis Roof, Pete Davis, Jahsiah Richardson, Bianca Gonzalez, Camryn Wiley and Gracyn Caughman, along with Student Council advisers Amanda Pinson and Daniel Bailey.
