South Congaree, SC 02/01/2022 (Paul Kirby) - The American Legion Auxiliary of Congaree Unit 90 and a few local Girl Scout Troops will be teaming up on Saturday, February 5th to make "homemade" Valentine Cards and treat bags for the elderly. These will be made at American Legion Congaree Post 90 on Main Street in South Congaree at 10:00 a.m.
Once the cards and goodie bags are completed, they will be distributed to the senior citizens at Jenni-Lynn Assisted Living facility, the Pine Ridge Senior Center and Meals on Wheels program, and the Central Midlands Transitional Retreat in Lexington. Central Midlands is a homeless shelter for our veterans.
