An Attempted Armed Robbery in The Town of Lexington

Lexington, SC 10/07/2023 - PLEASE SHARE: Chief Green is requesting assistance from the Town of Lexington community in identifying an individual involved in an attempted armed robbery this afternoon. On Friday, 10/6/2023, at approximately 12:58 p.m., officers were dispatched to the parking lot of Walmart.

According to victim statements, an individual approached a female sitting in her vehicle. He pointed a firearm at her & demanded money before she drove away. The individual is described to be a white male in his 50’s with a light-color & scruffy beard.

The individual is observed, on video footage, to enter a white Nissan sedan with a silver front license plate displaying the USC Gamecock symbol on it. Anyone with information about this incident, contact Detective Salisbury at 803-359-6260 or jsalisbury@lexsc.com.
