Lexington, SC 08/18/2023 (Paul Kirby) – Thursday, Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher released the autopsy results on the body found on August 14, 2023, shortly after 7:00 p.m. in a room of the closed Motel 6 on Burning Tree Drive in the St. Andrews area of Lexington County. The Motel has been closed permanently since March 1st of 2023. Fisher had said Wednesday that her office estimated that the decedent had been dead for approximately 2 or 3 weeks when it was located.
Fisher said that the results of the autopsy that was performed Wednesday revealed that the body, currently being referred to as John Doe, had no apparent injuries. The cause of death is still pending while Fisher’s office awaits toxicology results.
Fisher said that her office has not yet identified the body. She did say he was probably a white male, approximately 6’ 0” tall. He was wearing grey and white Adidas athletic shoes with white soles. He had no socks on and had long hair that could be brown or greyish in color. His hair could possibly have been pulled back in a hair tie. He also had facial hair that appeared long and unkept. His teeth were in poor condition with decay however his front teeth were intact. The t-shirt has a Batman symbol on the front with skulls. A photo of the t-shirt is included below.
