Batesburg-Leesville, SC - Due to the rise in COVID numbers across South Carolina, Lexington County School District Three officials have made the decision to continue forward on the current four-days-per-week schedule for face-to-face students at Batesburg-Leesville High School. Previously, the district had planned to implement its final phase-in to five-days-per-week instruction at the school on January 19th. However, with COVID cases climbing, administrators feel it is in the best interest of staff and students not to increase the amount of time that students are in the building.
The four-days-per-week model will continue allowing students to attend in-person classes at Batesburg-Leesville High School on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, leaving Wednesdays as virtual learning days. The VIP model (all virtual program) will continue unchanged. Students who opted to swap their learning model (from face-to-face to virtual or from virtual to face-to-face) will still begin their new learning platform on January 19th at the start of second semester.
District administrators will evaluate the COVID-19 situation each week and will notify BLHS families of any changes to the schedule.
Parents of students at Batesburg-Leesville Primary, Batesburg-Leesville Elementary, and Batesburg-Leesville Middle Schools should make note that no changes are being made to the current schedules at those schools. However, students who opted to swap their learning model (from face-to-face to virtual or from virtual to face-to-face) will still begin their new learning platform on January 19th at the start of second semester.
