Batesburg-Leesville, SC 11/25/2022 (Paul Kirby) – The Batesburg-Leesville Police Department is searching for a young man wanted on multiple serious charges. Trequan Varkim Johnson, age 25, is being sought on charges of Domestic Violence, Unlawful Conduct Toward a Child, Assault & Battery, Malicious Injury to Personnel Property, and Interfering with Law Enforcement.
According to police, on February 10, 2022, Johnson got into an argument with his girlfriend who attempted to flee with her 4-year-old child. Johnson forced his way into her car by smashing the window with a cement block. He then brandished a knife and swung it at the victim. He the fled the scene before police arrived. Johnson is also wanted by the SC Department of Probation, Parole, and Pardon.
