Beginning March 1, some Gilbert Elementary students may be eligible for no-cost dinners at school

Lexington, SC 02/22/2022 - Beginning March 1, 2022, students who participate in afterschool programs at Gilbert Elementary can receive a no-cost dinner, thanks to the Child and Adult Care Food Program. The CACFP Supper Program is a federal nutrition program offered through the Department of Social Services.

The program aims to improve the nutritional quality of meals served to students and introduce different types of food to reinforce good eating habits.
