Lexington, SC 11/21/2021 – Chief Terrence Green of the Lexington Police Department is inviting the citizens of the Town of Lexington and its community to the upcoming Bountiful Harvest event. It is being by the Lexington Police Department in partnership with Serve & Connect.
The Bountiful Harvest will take place on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at the Icehouse Amphitheater Pavilion which is located at 107 West Main Street in Lexington. The event will begin at 9:00 a.m. with a Greg’s Groceries holiday food box packing with officers, Volunteers in Police Services (V.I.P.S.), and community partners.
There will be 150 Greg’s Groceries holiday food boxes packed that morning which has been made possible through a generous donation from AT&T/FirstNet and the South Carolina Bar Association.
For those in our community interested in a Greg’s Groceries holiday food box, pickup will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will continue until 4:00 p.m., or until all the food boxes have been distributed. Giving of the food boxes will be first come first served and it is recommended that attendees arrive early.

Parking for the event will be available at the Icehouse Amphitheater, Town of Lexington Municipal Complex, and the grass parking lots on South Church Street near Hendrix Street.
As in previous Bountiful Harvest events, a catered sit-down meal from Catch Seafood will be provided those who stop by to pick up a holiday food box and attendees are encouraged to visit with our local partners, businesses, and organizations who will have booths set up within the pavilion to pass along information on the various resources that are available.
This is our 4th Annual Bountiful Harvest and the focus continues to be in supporting those who are in need of food to celebrate their Thanksgiving with family and friends along with providing an outreach event connecting neighbor to neighbor along with our officers and community partners.
Bountiful Harvest continues to have a great impact within the Midlands with over 1,200 people coming to enjoy a sit-down meal with our officers and the Greg’s Groceries holiday food boxes given over the last three years have fed over 10,000 people over the holidays.
Updates on Bountiful Harvest to be posted on the Lexington Police Department website and social pages.
