Pond Branch, SC 08/02/2021 (Paul Kirby) – Deborah Peeples, the 68-year-old woman that went missing from the Chapin Road area of Lexington County Sunday evening has been located and is safe. This is according to Captain Adam Myrick of the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department. Peeples has been transported to a medical facility by an ambulance from Lexington County EMS for evaluation.
Earlier Monday, Myrick said that Deputies from the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department were searching a wooded area off Pond Branch Road in Southern Lexington County for Peeples. They were working in the portion of the Pond Branch community that lies between Boling Springs Road and Calks Ferry Road. They were being assisted by personnel from the Lexington County Fire Service, Lexington County EMS, and the SC Law Enforcement Division (SLED).
Sometime after 4:00 p.m., a request was made to have an ambulance move to an address in the 400 block of Pond Branch Road. There, the EMS crew began caring for someone, presumably Peeples. This would be in the area where her pickup truck was located earlier in the day.
Captain Myrick had not released any information surrounding the circumstances of Peeples disappearance.
