Brookland-Cayce High School senior declares his intent to play his sport at the collegiate level

West Columbia, SC 05/13/2025 - Ten years ago today, baseball player Preston Coggins hit his first home run.

Fast forward to today — May 9, 2025 — and the Brookland-Cayce High School senior declared his intent to play his sport at the collegiate level.

Preston Coggins signed a letter of intent to play with Spartanburg Methodist College. The senior participated in a signing ceremony Friday.

Current and former coaches, teammates, fellow students, and family members attended the event, which was held in the Brookland-Cayce High School arena's Hall of Fame room.
