Brookland-Cayce High School will induct its newest Hall of Fame member next month

West Columbia, SC 01/25/2024 - Brookland-Cayce High School will induct its newest Hall of Fame member next month.

Linda Bundrick-Brown will be honored February 2 at the Annual Brookland-Cayce High School Educator Hall of Fame Gala. The event will be held at Seawell’s in Columbia.

Bundrick-Brown officially retired from Lexington Two and Brookland-Cayce High in 2010 but has returned each year since to serve the school, most recently as an assistant principal/attendance. She was an educator for 40 years before her official retirement, with most of her time at Brookland-Cayce, serving as an English teacher, guidance counselor, coach, Dean of Girls and senior class advisor, among many roles. She also was previously an assistant principal at Brookland-Cayce High as well as at Pine Ridge Middle School. Prior to returning home to join Lexington Two, Bundrick-Brown worked at Anderson High School in Anderson, Indiana.

Bundrick-Brown was named in 2020 to Lexington Two’s prestigious Heroes and Heroines Society, recognizing the “best of the best” among the district’s retired educators who dedicated their lives to service in the classroom, guidance or media center.

The February 2 event will begin with a social hour at 6 p.m., followed by a reception and award presentation at 7 p.m. at Seawell’s, 1125 Rosewood Drive, across from the State Fairgrounds in Columbia.
