Gaston, SC 09/29/2022 (Paul Kirby) – A camper was destroyed by fire in the 1900 block of Pelion Road near SC Hwy 6 shortly after 3:00 a.m. Thursday morning. The camper was well involved when it was reported and the blaze was threatening 2 nearby mobile homes.
According to Jessica Imbimbo, spokesperson for Lexington County, once firefighters arrived, it took approximately 15 minutes for them to have the fire under control. Imbimbo said that no one was in the camper at the time of the fire and there were no injuries reported. The camper was a total loss.
