Cayce FD Drug Take Back Day tomorrow

Cayce, SC 08/02/2024 - This Saturday, August 3, from 10 AM – 11 AM, the Cayce Fire Department will host their Prescription Drug Take Back Day. The event will be held at The Modern Locksmith, located at 538 Knox Abbott Drive in Cayce.

Prescription Drug Takeback days allow citizens of the area an opportunity to turn in most unwanted, unused, or expired medications to safely clean out their medicine cabinet. A list of what can not be collected Saturday is attached below. This keeps the drugs out of the hands of potential prescription drug abusers or children who may come across them. It can also cut down on confusion for elderly citizens that may not need to take a specific medication or dosage anymore.

You will also be able to drop them off in exchange for a free snow cone from Pelican’s Snoballs! (while supplies last) The drugs are incinerator after they are collected.
