Cayce, SC 03/08/2023 (Paul Kirby) – This week, the City of Cayce’s Police Department is searching for a 37-year-old man that they have a warrant for. Each week, the Police Department publishes the information of a fugitive that they’ve obtained a warrant/s for but have been unable to locate for one reason or another. It’s their hope that someone will recognize the fugitive from justice featured that week and make a tip that would lead to an arrest. To date, they have had several instances where they were able to locate and capture alleged criminals who have been evading them for long periods of time.
This week, they are featuring Travis Rawls. Rawls is a 37-year-old Caucasian man. The last photo the Police Department has of Rawls shows him with close cropped hair. Police say their records indicate that Rawls weighs approximately 170 pounds and is 5 feet 9 inches tall.
On January 10, 2023, Rawls was driving a black Ford Fusion when a Cayce police officer attempted to pull him over for a traffic violation. Instead of stopping the car, Rawls fled. From past interactions with him, Cayce officers know that he was driving under suspension for at least the 3rd offense, and he has been labelled a habitual traffic offender. This means that Rawls has committed offenses such as this many times in the past.
After Cayce’s investigators have presented their evidence to a judge, and the judge agreed there was enough evidence to issue an arrest warrant for Rawls. To date, police have been unable to find Rawls to serve him with the warrant and take him into custody.
If you recognize Rawls him from his photo, please notify the Cayce Police Department.
