Cayce, SC 06/22/2023 – The Cayce Police Department is asking the public is they will look at a video of a man they believe shoplifted a vehicle battery from a local auto parts business. This crime occurred on June 14, 2023, and the value of the battery taken was approximately $300.

This crime was clearly documented by the store’s surveillance system. It shows a single, black male drive up in a full-sized GMC SUV, take the battery from the in-store display, and then walk out with it whenever the business’s employees were distracted with other things.

Please look at the video closely. It you recognize the man or his vehicle, please contact the Cayce Police Department at (803) 794-0456. You can also make phone tips through Midland’s Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME SC, through their website at www.midlandscrimestoppers.com or by using their P-3 app which is available in all the app stores.
