Cayce Police Department investigating after body found in Three Fountains area of the city Tuesday

Cayce, SC 11/30/2021 (Paul Kirby) – The City of Cayce Police Department has officers and investigator on the scene where a body was located outside of a home in the Three Fountains area of the city early Tuesday morning. According to police, the body was located around 7:15 a.m. in the Hunters Mill subdivision off Emmanuel Church Road.

At this time, agents from the SC Law Enforcement Division (SLED) are also on scene assisting with this investigation. Personnel from Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher's office is also on scene and handling their portion of this investigation.

City officials say that there doesn’t appear to be any threat to the general public as a result of this death. Their investigation is in its earliest stages and more information should be forthcoming as it develops.
