Cayce, SC 04/17/2023 - In honor of Victim’s Rights Week, April 24 – 28, the Cayce Police Department plans to kick the week off with their Memorial Stone Ceremony on April 21, 2023, at the Cayce Police Headquarters at 11:00 AM.
The Department and its officers strive to give survivors a voice so they can be heard and a community where they can be supported. Crime victims, along with their families and friends, are invited to the Ceremony; a follow-up event to the 2022 Mending Tree Unveiling, to join them in honoring the lives impacted by violent crimes.
The following day, April 22, the Cayce Police Department will be taking part in the 2nd Steel Paws Benefit Event from 1 PM - 5 PM at Steel Hands Brewing. Steel Paws Wheat Ale is brewed and sold specifically to benefit Public Safety K9 programs across South Carolina.
Planning for these events is also an opportunity to honor the life of Corporal Drew Barr. Cpl. Barr was killed during a violent crime on April 24, 2022. His life is remembered daily by his family, friends, fellow officers, and our entire Cayce community. They hope you will join these for these impactful and meaningful events.
