Cayce, SC 10/19/2022 (Paul Kirby) – It is Wanted Wednesday for the Cayce Police Department. Wanted Wednesday has been successful in helping police find some fugitives that have open warrants but for some reason, police have been unsuccessful in locating the person. With the public’s assistance, hopefully they will be able to clear more old warrants so that they never have any case go cold.
This week, their featured fugitive is Jared Savion Gutierrez. He is currently 23 years old, 5’9” tall and weighs about 245 pounds. In the photo the police have on file of Gutierrez, he had facial hair. Of course, that could easily have changed.
On March 2, 2022, the Cayce Police Department responded to a report that an assault had taken place. In the process of conducting their field interviews, officers quickly learned that Jared Savion Gutierrez struck a woman several times in the face, and then choked the female victim so hard that she almost lost consciousness. Gutierrez left the scene before the officers had arrived. A judge later issued a warrant for Gutierrez’s arrest after reviewing the evidence that was gathered and presented by the police.
