Cayce police officers respond to a civil disturbance and arrest 2 on multiple drug and firearms charges 

Cayce, SC 06/10/2024 (Paul Kirby) - On Friday, June 7, 2024, officers with the Cayce Police Department responded to a civil disturbance in the parking lot of the Food Lion on Charleston Highway.  While on the way to the call, the victim advised dispatchers that two men in the other vehicle involved, pointed a gun at him. Within just a few moments of arriving, the responding officers were able to immediately locate the suspects and arrest them. 

According to a spokesperson for Cayce PD, “The quick actions of the Cayce PD telecommunicator and responding officers led to the suspects being charged with numerous offenses. They included trafficking in crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and heroin, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and pointing and presenting a firearm. 

 

The offenders were later transported to the Lexington County Detention Center where they were booked into jail.
