Cayce, SC 01/12/2023 (Paul Kirby) – This week, the City of Cayce’s Police Department is searching for a man that they’ve had warrants for since the fall of 2019. Each week, the Police Department publishes the information of a fugitive that they’ve obtained a warrant/s for but have been unable to locate for one reason or another. It’s their hope that someone will recognize the fugitive from justice featured that week and make a tip that would lead to an arrest. To date, they have had several instances where they were able to locate and capture alleged criminals who have been evading them for long periods of time.
This week, they are featuring Dennis Trotter, Jr. Trotter is a 46-year-old African American man. The last photo the Police Department has of Trotter shows he has a dark complexion, dark brown eyes, and a thin beard and mustache. At that time the photo was taken, Trotter weighed approximately 160 pounds and is 5 feet 9 inches tall.
On September 27, 2009, Trotter assaulted his wife after they had a verbal altercation. He kicked her several times and pushed her around violently. He then produced a knife which he held at her throat. All this took place in front of the couples two minor children. After presenting their evidence to a judge, investigators were able to obtain a warrant for Trotter’s arrest on the charge of Criminal Domestic Violence of a High and Aggravated Nature. To date, no one has been able to identify Trotter’s whereabouts so that police can serve the warrant and take Trotter into custody.
