Chapin police investigators searchin for shooting susepct

Chapin, SC 12/10/2021 (Paul Kirby) - On the evening of Friday, December 9, 2021, at approximately 8:00 pm, officers with the Chapin Police Department were notified of a shooting that occurred at 1235 Chapin Road in the area of the Publix Shopping Center. This is in the heart of the very busy northwestern Lexington County town.

Police arrived at that location and immediately began to interview people on scene and gather evidence. An active, thorough investigation was begun. Through the course of this investigation, Kamron Richard-David Woods was identified as the suspect in this incident. Woods is currently wanted for four counts of attempted murder, discharging a firearm into a vehicle, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. If you see Woods please do not approach and call 911, he is to be considered armed and dangerous.
