Chapin Police looking for missing young man

whereabouts. They have been utilizing resources with SLED, Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, Newberry County Sheriff’s Department, and Fairfield County Sheriff’s Department. If there is an update that is developed, that we are able to share with the public, we will do so on this post.

The Chapin Police Department is actively seeking information regarding the whereabouts of Kyle Michael Poppiti, a 23-year-old male last seen on Saturday, May 31st, 2025, after completing his delivery route at the United States Post Office located at 1249 Chapin Road.
Kyle failed to return home and has not been in contact with his family. His personal vehicle, a light blue 2011 Honda CR-V bearing South Carolina tag XBI527, is also missing.
Kyle is considered at risk and may be a danger to himself. His phone last pinged in the Winnsboro, South Carolina area early this morning.
