Chapin Ruritans honor first responders with meal cards

Chapin, SC 03/16/2021 - The Chapin Ruritan Club is honoring the community’s first responders with a free meal at the Ballentine Chick-fil-A.

Thanks to an advertising agreement between the Ballentine Chick-fil-A and Chapin Media Group, the Ruritan Club is providing digital cards which entitle the recipient to a choice of a Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich Meal or a Chick-fil-A Nuggets Meal (8 count).

The cards will be offered to 116 first responders who serve the Chapin community, including members of the Lexington County Fire Service, the Lexington County EMS, the Lexington County Sheriff’s, the Chapin Police Department and 911 Communications officers.

Chapin Ruritan Club President Stan Shealy said, “The members of the Chapin Ruritan Club are deeply grateful to all of those who selflessly serve the citizens of our community in times of need. They are our local heroes. We are pleased to be able to offer these meals as a small token of our appreciation.”

Lexington County Emergency Services Director David Kerr will make the Chick-Fil-A Cards available to first responders at the Chapin Fire Station. Cards have also been presented by Ruritans to the Chapin Police and Lexington County Sheriff’s officers. The cards will be honored at the Ballentine Chick-Fil-A location.
