City of West Columbia lifts Boil Water Advisory issued earlier in the week

West Columbia, SC 10/22/2021 – Just before noon Thurdsay, the boil water advisory that the City of West Columbia put into place earlier in the week was lifted. The original advisery was caused by a water main break. The following areas were affected by this advisory:
All of:
100 – 290 Sausage Lane
201 – 210 Summer Walk Court
387 Kitty Wake Drive
Plum Orchard Drive
Shell Mound Court
Grey Ferry Lane
Staffordshire Way
Courtney Oak Drive
Chickadee Court
The line was repaired and water service is now completely restored. The water supply has been thoroughly tested and boiling water is no longer necessary. Water customers may check the city of West Columbia website at www.westcolumbiasc.gov for updates on all boil water advisories.
Water customers may also contact customer service at City Hall between 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at 803.791.1880. Emergencies occurring after hours and on weekends and holidays should be reported to the West Columbia Police Department at 803.794.0721.
