South Congaree, SC 02/07/2022 (Paul Kirby) – The members of the all volunteer group Congaree Cares, the American Legion Post 90, and Auxiliary Post 90 are cosponsoring an American Red Cross Blood Drive. In is scheduled for Monday, February 21, 2022, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. It will be held inside the American Legion Hut at 4069 Edmund Hwy in West Columbia (South Congaree), SC.

People who have had the COVID virus, the virus vaccinations and boosters, and the flu shot are not prevented from donating. The only exemption would be if you are currently showing the signs of symptoms of the virus when you come to donate.
Potential donors can sign up on-line at www.redcrossblood.org. Just use the CODE: CongareeCares during that process. Every donor will receive a $10 Amazon e-gift card via e-mail. You can also maximize your donation if you have O, A-, or B- blood and ask about a Power Red donation.
