Coroner Fisher identifies motorcyclist killed in Boiling Springs Road collision

Boiling Springs, SC - 02/26/2021 (Paul Kirby) - Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher said Friday morning that the man killed in a motorcycle collision earlier this week was Marvin L. Drawdy, 59, of Lexington. Drawdy died as a result of a collision that occurred in the 500 block of Boiling Springs Road at approximately 4:50 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.

According to Coroner Fisher, Drawdy was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries he sustained in the crash. She said that he was not wearing a helmet when he collided with the rear of a delivery van that had slowed to turn into a private drive. The driver of the van was not injured.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
