Coroner Fisher identifies motorcyclist killed over the weekend in Three Fountains area of county

Lexington, SC 11/29/2022 (Paul Kirby) - Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has now identified the young man who died in a motorcycle collision in the 2700 block of Emmanuel Church Road shortly after 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 26, 2022. This incident occurred in front of the Three Fountains Skating Rink in an area that is in the City of Cayce, SC as it extends into the Hunters Mill neighborhood.

According to Coroner Fisher, Christian Michael Turner, 23, of West Columbia was traveling southbound on Emmanuel Church Road toward Platt Springs Road on the motorcycle when he collided with a vehicle attempting to turn onto Emmanuel Church Road from the skating rink’s drive. Turner, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, was pronounced dead at the scene due to the injuries sustained.

The Cayce Police Department and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate the incident.
