Coroner Fisher identifies pedestrian that was struck and killed crossing Charleston Highway this week

Lexington County, SC 03/20/2024 (Paul Kirby) - Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified a man who died in a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision Monday night. This crash happened in the 2400 block of Charleston Highway in the Cayce area of Lexington County at approximately 8:20 p.m.


 

According to Coroner Fisher, Brett Sterling Lamb, 40, of Cayce was walking across Charleston Highway when he was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound. Lamb was pronounced dead on scene due to the injuries he sustained in the collision. The driver remained on scene and was not injured.

 

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the Cayce Police Department continue to investigate the incident.
