Coroner Fisher identifies the man who died in a SUV versus tractor-trailer collision before dawn Thursday

Lexington, SC 03/14/2023 (Paul Kirby) - Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has positively identified the individual who died in a tractor-trailer vs vehicle accident. This collision occurred in the 4900 block of Platt Springs Road near Winchester Drive in the Red Bank area of Lexington County. It happened at approximately 4:25 a.m. on March 14, 2024.



According to Coroner Fisher, the deceased is Dakotah Troupe Turner, 28, of Lexington. The SC Highway Patrol (SCHP). Turner was traveling westbound on Platt Springs Road when he struck a tractor-trailer that was attempting to turn out of a private drive eastbound onto Platt Springs Road. Turner, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol continue to investigate the incident.
