Coroner Fisher releases the identity of the Pelion Woman who died Saturday after crash on June 3rd

Lexington, SC 06/13/2023 (Paul Kirby) – Today, Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher released the identity of the woman who died after being involved in a single-vehicle collision in the 900 block of Hartley Quarter Road in the Pelion area of Lexington County. This crash happened at approximately 6:50 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2023.


According to Lance Corporal Bennett of the SCHP, there were 3 people in the car travelling north on Hartley Quarter Road in a 1998 Volvo. The driver of the car, the person who died, lost control of the car, went off the left side of the road, and then struck some trees. All 3 of the occupants of the vehicle were so seriously injured that they were transported to the Trauma Center at Prisma’s Palmetto Richland Hospital. Two of the injured occupants were flown by helicopter from a landing zone at Edmund First Baptist Church between Crystal Springs Drive and SC Hwy. 6 to the hospital.


According to Davis' mother, Kimberly Renae Davis, 41, of Pelion lived until Saturday, June 10, 2023, before succumbing to her injuries.


The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate the incident.
