Coroner identifies victims of Sunday's wrong way driver collision on I-26 near the 119 mm

Dixiana, SC 07/26/2021 (Paul Kirby) – Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individuals who died in a multiple vehicle collision that occurred on Interstate 26 near the 119 Mile Marker, at approximately 5:30 AM on Sunday, July 25, 2021.

According to Coroner Fisher, Christian D. Lucille, 34, of Columbia, was travelling west in the wrong direction on Interstate 26 near mile marker 119 when she struck the vehicle driven by Sierra S. Rosario, 17, of Blythewood, head on. One of the vehicles involved caught fire and burned.

Both women were pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries they sustained in this collision.

The incident is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
