Coroner Margaret Fisher identifies victim of the golf cart versus SUV fatal collision near Swansea Wednesday morning

Lexington, SC 08/15/2024 (Paul Kirby) - Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has positively identified the man who died in a SUV versus golf cart accident Wednesday morning. This collision occurred in the 600 block of Huckabee Mill Road near Tickleweed Road near Swansea.

According to Coroner Fisher, Christopher Dean Hoffman, 51, of Swansea was operating a Club Cart golf cart driving south on Huckabee Mill Road when he was struck by a Ford SUV travelling in the same direction. Hoffman was pronounced dead on scene due to the injuries sustained in the accident.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate the incident.
