Oak Grove, SC (Paul Kirby) - Lexington County first responders were on the scene of a reported vehicle versus pedestrian collision near Oak Grove early Thursday morning. The call was reported just before 6:00 a.m. on September 17th, 2020. The collision reportedly occurred near the intersection of Wrenn Road an Augusta Road.

Trucks and supervisors from both Lexington County EMS and the fire service were on the scene quickly. They were reportedly doing CPR on one critically injured patient. Law enforcement officers were on the scene dealing with the traffic that had just started picking up at the start of the morning commute.

Law enforcement officials urged motorists to use caution in the area and told motorist they should expect to either slow down or stop in that area. They did not said whether they were working in the east or westbound lanes of Augusta Road. The SCDPS indicated on their webpage that the roadway was blocked.

The condition of the pedestrian has not been made available. We will update this story if more information becomes available.
