Gaston, SC (Paul Kirby) - A 42-year-old Gaston man has been arrested and charged with second degree domestic violence and kidnapping after deputies say he struck a woman in her face and then held her in his home against her will in August of this year. Danny Arnold was arrested Wednesday and booked into the Lexington County Detention Center where he was being held without bond.
According to investigators, Arnold struck the woman in the face while she was in his home on August 12th. This occurred at the residence off Fallaw Road between Gaston, Sharpe’s Hill, and Swansea in southern Lexington County. He then locked her in a bedroom and told her she could not leave sheriff's deputies say. He later used his body to block the front door so she couldn’t escape according to arrest warrants.
People convicted of kidnapping in South Carolina are added to the state’s sexual offenders registry.
