Lexington, SC 10/09/2022 - Deputies with the Lexington County Sheriff's Depart,emt responded last night to the area of the Waffle House on South Lake Drive at I-20 after two people were shot. This is according to Captain Adam Myrick spokesman for Sheriff Jay Koon.
Myrick said that, "Based on the early information we've gathered, the shooting was an isolated incident between two groups of people involved in an earlier altercation at another location on South Lake."
Late last night, detectives interviewed witnesses at the scene. Investigators also gathered security video from nearby businesses while crime scene investigators processed the scene.
Asof Sunday at 10:00 a.m., no other agency has released any further information regarding the condition of the people who were shot. Myrick said they had no additional information is available at this time.
