Detective Matthews needs your help identifying man who was seen tampering with cars

Lexington, SC 09/05/2024 (Paul Kirby) – Detective Matthews with the Lexington Police Department is asking for your help in locating a man who the Department thinks has been involved in several crimes. Matthews alleges that this man has been involved in multiple auto tampering incidents in a neighborhood off Augusta Road in the early morning hours of August 26, 2024.



The suspect appears to be a black man who is dressed in all black. His top could be a Carolina hoodie or have some other logo on the front. He may be wearing a do-rag on his head. He also has gray sport shoes on.
