Develop Lexington County RESPONSIBLY to hold public meeting tonight on proposed 1% Sales Tax hike

Lake Murray, SC 10/24/2022 (Paul Kirby) – The group Develop Lexington County RESPONSIBLY (DLRC) has organized a public meeting where citizens can learn more, and ask questions about, the proposed 1% Sales Tax hike specifically for roads, intersections, and road paving that if approved would last for 8 years. This issue is the ballot during the November 8, 2022, General Election in the form of a yes or no question. The keynote speaker tonight will be Lexington County Administrator Lynn Sturkie. He will also have with him county staff members so that there will be enough knowledgeable people on hand to be able to speak with and answer the questions of everyone who attends.

The meeting is scheduled for tonight, October 24, 2022, beginning at 7:00 p.m. It is being held at the Lake Murray Community Center located at 1001 St. Peters Church Road, Lexington, SC.
