District One partners with agency to connect student with mental health & substance abuse assistance

Lexington, SC 02/02/2022 (Paul Kirby) - Lexington County School District One has partnered with Care Solace to support the well-being of their students and families who may be struggling with mental health or substance abuse issues. As has been well publicized, Americans of all ages, genders, and races have seen more of these kind of struggles since the start of the world-wide pandemic. Studies have shown that young people, especially those of school age, have not handled the pressures of the isolation and lack of social activities well. This has led to both increased emotional pressures and crisis and sometimes increased substance abuse a well.
