District One's archery teams dominate at state competition

Lexington, SC 04/25/2021 - Three Lexington County School District One archery teams and five individual archers earned state titles recently.


Pelion Elementary, Carolina Springs Middle and White Knoll High beat dozens of teams from across South Carolina to earn the top spot in their respective grade levels. River Bluff High placed second at the state competition. WKHS currently ranks 11th in the nation.

PES’s Maddison R. Snuffer won the elementary girls’ division, while PES’s Jayden S. Taylor took home the elementary boys’ title. Snuffer ranks 16th in the nation.


White Knoll Middle’s Nolan J. Garner placed first in the middle school boys’ division.


WKHS’s Logan D. Klotz earned the top spot among high school boys and River Bluff High’s Savana N. Wolf earned the state title among high school girls. Wolf is also ranked ninth in the nation.
