Driver of car in Lexington drive-by arrested, shooter still sought

Lexington, SC 06/303/2021 – Chief Terrence Green of the Town of Lexington Police Department said Wednesday that officers with the department had made an arrest in the shooting incident that occurred Monday, June 28, 2021, in the 300 block of Coventry Lakes Drive.


Patrick Riley Prewitt, age 19, of Lexington, was arrested Tuesday afternoon, June 29, 2021, in connection with the incident. He was charged with Criminal Conspiracy. He will have a bond hearing this afternoon, June 30th, 2021.

Detectives have also issued warrants for Roosevelt Erik Garway Jr. for Attempted Murder, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Violent Crime, Discharging a Firearm at an Occupied Dwelling, and Criminal Conspiracy.
