Fire severely damages home off Fox Hollow Circle in the Oak Grove / Pine Grove area Tuesday morning

Oak Grove, SC 07/22/2025 (Paul Kirby) – A home was heavily damaged by fire in the Oak Grove / Pine Grove areas of the county early Tuesday morning. The fire, which was dispatched just after midnight, brought firefighters and equipment from across a large swatch of central Lexington County.
The first trucks and manpower that arrived at the blaze reported that there were flames and smoke coming from the second story of the home. Crews quickly assembled an attack team and advanced a handline into the home in an aggressive fire attack. As additional crews and a command team arrived, other tasks were undertaken including search and rescue, ventilation, and later salvage and overhaul. Together, the teams quickly extinguished the blaze.
No injuries have been reported by the county and fire marshals were on the scene later Tuesday in an attempt to determine the cause of the fire.
