Friends of Irmo Branch Library to hold Fall Book Sale this week

Irmo, SC 10/03/2022 - Cooler weather means more time to read, and you can get your books at the Friends of the Irmo Branch Library’s Fall Book Sale. It will begin this Thursday, October 6, 2022, and will continue until Sunday, October 9, 2022, in the library’s community room. The Irmo Branch Library is located at 6251 St. Andrews Road in Irmo.

A members’ only sale will be Thursday, October 6 from 3-7 p.m. One of the perks of being a Friend of the Irmo Branch Library is that you get to shop early for the best books! You can become a member at the door for as little as $10, and members can also receive a discount on purchases.

The public sale will be:

Friday, Oct. 7, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 8, 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 9, 2-4 p.m.

Most books are priced from .50 cents to $2, and you can save even more by purchasing a bag to fill. Audiobooks, CDs and DVDs are also available. Payment is by cash, check or card.

The Friends have a huge selection of all types of books, including a large number of children’s books, thanks to their recent Donation Days events. If you still have books you would like to contribute to the sale, a Donation Day will be held from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5. You can drop your books off curbside at the library.

Special deals are planned during the sale, and money from the sale will go to help fund Irmo Branch Library programs, services and materials. The Friends of the Irmo Branch Library is a non-profit, volunteer organization. The Friends support, promote and help fund the Irmo Branch Library.
