Friends of the Irmo Branch Library to accept donated books for their biannual book sale this week

Irmo, SC 08/25/2025 -Are your bookshelves overflowing? Need to make room? The Friends of the Irmo Branch Library, 6251 St. Andrews Road, will accept donations of used books from 2-5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28.
Books may be dropped off curbside at the side entrance to the library, where Friends volunteers will assist in unloading. Or you may bring books to the library’s Mungo Room. The library does not accept VHS tapes, magazines/journals, encyclopedias, dictionaries, textbooks over 5 years old, travel and computer books more than 3 years old, Readers Digest condensed books, or moldy, damaged or ripped books. Due to storage limitations, we reserve the right to reject donations that we cannot use.
PLEASE DO NOT DROP OFF DONATIONS AT THE LIBRARY ANY TIME OTHER THAN THE DESIGNATED
DONATION DAYS & TIMES.
Donations supply both the Friends Book Store inside the library and the Friends Book Sales.
